Bliss

It's DAY 7 and we're spending the day at the Chedi.

A wave broke Mark's glasses, so he was on the hunt for a new pair.
To my disappointment, these were not the winner.

While Kendra and Mark went to the spa, Jeff and Michael battled it out on the ping-pong table. The battles proceeded to happen each evening. I'm not sure who came out on top in the end.

Mark and Kendra made it back in time to catch the sunset.

We had dinner that night at the Chedi. Mark, Kendra, and I were pleasantly surprised to receive a whole snapper.
Tomorrow we head to the Phi Phi Islands. I can't wait to show you how beautiful they were.
Goodnight from Phuket.

Welcome to Thailand!

It was an early morning start as we boarded the Airport Express at 7:00 am...Thailand bound!
We arrived in Phuket around noon on Wednesday, the 5th, and we were excited to get DAY 6 rolling!
The guys checked in.
We took a few pictures of our hot, sweaty, pasty selves.
And quickly made our way to the beach.
We spent the afternoon sunning, resting, and drinking Singha's!
We enjoyed mango daiquiris during happy hour

while watching the sunset.

We topped off the night with an open-air Thai dinner, heart-to-hearts, and bromances.
So far, we are loving Phuket!

Lauren

hello, hello, hello...thank you, thank you, thank you

It's Day 5, and we're going back to the tailor for the third time for the boys fitting.
The title of this post is what the tailor men say when you walk through the door. Jeff does the best impression.

It's hard to believe it's our last full day in Hong Kong. We rode the bus out to Stanley and sat in the front row on the second deck.
We passed by Repulse Bay and admired the feng shui. This square hole cut into this Repulse Bay apartment complex enables the dragon that inhabits the hills behind it to drink from the bay (in front of it).
After the feng shui lesson, we grabbed a quick snack.

And did a bit of shopping in the market.

We then headed back to The Grand Hyatt in Wanchai for tea.

A great way to end DAY 5.
We're going home to pack and get some shut-eye. We leave in the morning for...
THAILAND!

Stylin' and Profilin'

It's Monday, the 3rd and DAY 4!
As you can see from Day 4, a hike was in store, but first we were off to Kowloon for a wardrobe makeover. We've had a few "interventions" with our friends over the years...Zach received a "haircut intervention" a few summers back; this time Jeff got a "suit intervention". We did away with the pleats,  and cuffs.  (He didn't bend on the pocket shirts...we'll keep working on him). He's gonna look like a new man, nonetheless :)

Thanks to the Macau winnings, they each walked away with 2 new suits and 4-5 shirts. I can't wait to see them in their new gear!
We made our way to the start of the trail for our hike.

We hiked Dragon's Back, and it was a perfect day for it. The weather was beautiful.
The views were just amazing.
Can you believe this is Hong Kong?

We ended in Deep Water Bay.
After the hike, the boys went to grab a beer while we went for our second foot massage (we went the day before, but I forgot to take a pic).
We look a bit rough, but the massage was glorious!
We went home to get cleaned up, and grabbed Michael to board the Aqua Luna Junk.

We had dinner that night in Kowloon at a Vietnamese restaurant, Rice Paper.

We ended our night with a night-cap at Peel Street Bar...we had a "Hendrick's Gin and Cucumber" in honor of our own "Hendricks/Hendrix" clan.
We have the BEST friends.
What a great day.
xx,
Lauren
