As much as October brings the smell of Fall, cool weather, and pumpkin spice lattes (for all you living in the US...), it's also brings breast cancer awareness month.
Cancer has hit our families hard, but this weekend we celebrated these two!
Both of our moms are now SURVIVORS!
Pam, my mom, and Adam walked in Charlotte's Race for the Cure and my dad ran his first 5K. I am so proud of all of them, and only wish I could have been with them on Saturday.
We continue to pray for a cure for this awful disease, but celebrate that more women (and men!) are surviving it!
Make sure to wear your pink this month, get your mammograms, do your self-exams, and support your national and local breast cancer organizations.
In Charlotte?
xx,
Lauren

The only thing that would have made the day more special would have been to have you walking with us. Hopefully...next year! What a day....hope and inspiration from so many women who walked the same road before me....walking in honor of Pam who was with me every step of the way on my journey....grateful for the love and support of my wonderful family, walking to one day find a CURE (for ALL cancers). Faith, hope, cure and LOVE for our family and friends who are currently battling this awful disease.
pink power to all! love you kim and pam!!!
