Tokyo is crazy.
The city is bustling at all hours of the day. With just under 13 million people living here, it's hard to ever find a quiet corner. Starbucks are jammed from morning to late at night. Lines wrap around Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. People fight for a space on the subway.
The Subway. Oh, the subway.
With taxi's starting at $9, the subway was our main mode of transportation. Even still, we spent boat-loads of money getting around.
We picked the most expensive time in the last 15 years to visit Japan. Just our luck. The Yen has appreciated so much, that the exchange rate is about $80 Yen to the dollar. Whew.
We left Hong Kong early Friday morning and arrived in Tokyo that afternoon. We hopped on the train, and 76 minutes later, we arrived in Shinjuku. It was around 4:30 pm and already DARK! We put our bags down and wasted no time making our way to the Mori Tower to see the city at night.
They were feathers.
Loved this!
After dinner, we strolled through Roppongi before calling it a night.
Lots more to come on Tokyo, but this workin' girl has got to get to bed!

Lauren
