One Year...

August 25, 2010...
Today marks our 1 year anniversary of living in this crazy city. I don't think either of us imagined five years ago this is where our life would have taken us.

Thank you so much for faithfully following my blog, your wonderful comments, friendship, and support as we continue to explore and try to make a home here in Asia.

If you have a spare 12 minutes, check out the last year of our life.
It has simply, been amazing.
xx,
Lauren

Wow...when I think back to the day you left, I was crying tears of sadness, worry, and fear. Now, one year later, I am crying tears of joy, and I am overwhelmed with happiness as I see what an incredible year you and Michael have experienced and all of the wonderful friends you have made. I am thankful for the friends that have come to visit and brought a little bit of "home" to you! Much love and cheers to another great year! (I just hope it flies by as quickly as the first!)Love, Love, Love!

That could not have been more amazing to watch! I am just so happy and proud of all you both have done in the past year. You have truly flourished in your new home away from home. As much as I miss having you here, it makes me so happy you are happy. You brought me to tears watching that thought. Can't wait to get you back home one of these days though :)
Lot's of love! XOXO

Just another year in the lives of Lauren and Michael. Yea, right!! Great look back at the incredible journey!! The thing that really stands out to me is not the beauty of the surroundings but your friends. Friends from home and friends you have made overseas. Friends and family who travelled around the world to be with you and your new friends who are adapting to a new home. Enjoy it all, Gene

Thanks for sharing- I think we ALL should make a video of each year of our lives- not that anyone's year would come close to ya'lls but what fun to look back and remember all the fun times. I really enjoyed watching and can't wait to see what is in store for you guys!!
