Day 3

It's off to Kowloon today! We took the MTR to the "other side" to see the Ladies Market, Goldfish Market, Jade Market, and Flower Market. We did alot of walking, wandering, photo snapping, and browsing.

We wandered along finding all kinds of things... fruit as big as our heads (pomelos), open vans with flowers inside, and really cool glasses (none of which we purchased).

We took in the city sights...

Until we were hungry and tired. Tea at the Peninsula sounded like the perfect fix. We sat for awhile, admiring the Christmas decorations, listening to the orchestra, eating scones, and thinking about how the Chinese got it right...how nice it is to stop in the afternoon for tea.

We took the Star Ferry back to Hong Kong Island.

And stopped in the markets to buy vegetables for our Thanksgiving dinner before heading home.

That night, we joined my YWCA group for drinks and dinner in Repulse Bay. I was excited for Amanda to get to meet some of my closest friends here. They loved her, and I think she thought they were great too.

We had another great day...AND I think she is starting to love Hong Kong!
xx,
Lauren
